Taste of Montclair supporter Sweet Home Montclair is donating 5% of sales now through Sunday April 10 to help rebuild the Montclair Township Animal Shelter. A fire on Sunday April 3rd destroyed the rear portion of the building. All animals were rescued and are presently being fostered in surrounding communities.
As owner of Montclair’s premier retail confectionery, owner Paul Giordano knows one of the sweetest things in the world is giving back to help those in need.
In addition to this effort, Paul created the amAsilo Project whereby a portion of specially tagged items in the store are donated to the Human Needs Food Pantry, the Montclair Township Animal Shelter, or Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation. The project was set up as a tribute to AnnMarie Asilo, a great friend and long time fixture of the Upper Montclair retail experience.
Sweet Home Montclair is located at 623 Valley Road Upper Montclair, near Saunders Hardware.
