Local photographer Anthony Torres, of Anthony S. Torres Photography, has been named the Official Photographer of Bloomfield Restaurant Week 2016. Anthony Torres is part of a team of photographers that support Taste of Montclair and the charitable work of the Montclair Rotary Club.
Now in its fifth year, Bloomfield Restaurant Week takes place each August, at a time when most civic and community activities are on hiatus. With not much else to do in town, promoting the growing restaurant community in this Essex County Community brings a great deal of attention to independently owned restaurants including Taste of Montclair supporters Anthony’s Cheesecake, Spice Thai, and Stamna Taverna.
Torres, a Bloomfield resident, said he “hates seeing places close shop” so with his work “our businesses can all go up.” Given the attention his photography has brought to many other local businesses, his efforts will surely present Bloomfield as a “must visit” destination In the coming months Torres will visit some of the participating restaurants for photo shoots. He has shared that his wife said he “needs to keep sampling to a minimum”
2016 is a pivotal year for Bloomfield Restaurant Week as the township continues to grow and thrive under the leadership of Mayor Michael Venezia. Since taking office in 2013, many new businesses have moved to town or started up, including some exciting restaurants.
The Montclair Rotary Club is proud to call Anthony Torres a friend of the Montclair Rotary Club for his commitment to helping those in need. Montclair Rotary members come from communities across the Garden State.
