Turtle Back Zoo‘s beloved butterfly “aviary” returns for Summer 2016.
Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, this enclosed area of the zoo allows butterflies to fly freely among flowers and foliage. There are several feeding stations with the exhibit that are filled several times a day with fruit and other foods of which butterflies are quite fond.
The space is a great place to learn about some of the native plants that butterflies in the Garden State love. Who knows, maybe you’ll be inspired to plant a butterfly garden this year.
